Those swatches are gorgeous and make me itch for the workshop next month. It sounds like you had a fabulous time.
Best wishes for the surgery!

I got the book you recommended at camp, Little Red In the City, both the hardcopy and digital. I was not disappointed. I am meh about the patterns, (I only really like the cape sweater, I think she fitted all the sweaters too snugly, but the style the kids like a smidge of positive ease is nicer, I think!) but the fitting half of the book is superb! And it's about *half* of the book!

I like the faggotting cast on, and the matching cast off is terrific, too! I ended up reteaching it, including the backwards knitting part, over and over!

I am almost afraid to ask. . . what is a "butterburger"?

A butterburger is a hamburger with a pat of butter on it.

Because you can never have too much fat!

I also ordered the book Red in the City. It sounds like the technique and fitting sections will more than equal the price of the book. In the mail yesterday was Rachael's book. It is all I can do not to read it all in one sitting. I am trying to read it a little at a time so it will last longer. Camp was fun wasn't it? Everyone wants to know--what did you learn. How can we possibly explain??

Thanks for sharing. Great picture of you and Meg. Sock Summit in progress here in the Rose City. Perfect weather, lots of yarn, what could be better? If you and Meg were here!! xo
