Yes, another new pattern!* Birch is a one-piece pullover knit out of twelve shades of Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift yarn inspired by photographs of birch bark: subtle grays, tans, oranges, and slate blues. The geometric Komi pattern is easy to knit, but the opposing movements of light to dark and back again make it look very mysterious.
This garment is knit in the round with steeks at the neck and cuffs--full instructions for setting up, securing, and cutting the steek are included in the pattern, so don't wuss out. The hem and bands are knit with the yarn held double, adding heft and texture plus speed!
Birch is available as a pdf download from Ravelry.
* You are amazed, right? Two patterns in two weeks--well, my technical editor is back from maternity leave. You can expect a few more in the next month!
